This coming weekend is going to be big and busy! 🤪 my birthday was in February but L bought me a gift for this Friday.. can you guess what it is? 😉 it’s a painting!! I absolutely love Anette Tjærby’s paintings so that’s what awaits me. This is one of my favourites.. Cannot wait to see them and find my new baby..

My parents will be baby- and dogsitting meanwhile and after we’re having dinner with them. We drive home the same evening.

Saturday morning I have to get up and bake. We have an arrangement at work and I’ve promised to bake 😆 I’ll be making “hindbærsnitter”. The best dough with raspberry in between and frosting on the top. It’s something danish so I’ll show you Saturday. I’ll be welcoming all our guests together with our chairman. Acterwards I’m going home to prepare for Sunday 👍🏼

Sunday is V’s first birthday 🇩🇰  It’s a really big deal for me. I’ll only have this one child and this day will never be again so it has so be special. My parents will be there, L’s friends and kids plus V’s half siblings. The pressure is huge. I want it to be this perfect day even though I know it won’t be. L is hurt by circumstances regarding his kids from a prior marriage. He wishes them all the best in the world but if the other party doesn’t have the same take on things it’s doomed and the kids pay the price. I feel so sorry for them and hope it’ll all settle down for their sake. After all L and I are for eternity – we’ve bought a house together and want to get married 🤵🏻👰🏼

But back to Sunday – I’ll do everything I can to make it perfect. I’ve ordered sandwich for lunch. Then we’ll all go for a walk and return to a cake with a Peter Rabbit picture on it. It’ll be brownie with forest berries 👌🏼 Besides that I’ve made more Hindbærsnitter, regulator birthday cake 🎂 and buns. I’ve had the best photographer take pictures of V to put on the table ❤ I pray for the best day 🙏🏼🎉
